Blogger just released a new feature that could be helpful in the battle against splog and other objectionable content. They launched a "Flag?" link on the top rail of Blogger. This allows others
to send feedback to Blogger on blogs that they find to be offensive. I think this is an excellent move in the right direction towards protecting our blogosphere from splog.
To read more on the new feature check out the Blogger Buzz post here. Also visit this post by Mark Wilson, he was the first to point the update out to me since I do not use Blogger.

I don't know. If you read further, it says that they don't actually do anything about it except remove the blog from the public list. Unless you click "Next Blog" on the blogger bar, that really does help.

I certainly hope that the Flag button will do something to eliminate the garbage. I just noticed it last night after checking my stats. I saw a huge influx in Blogspot blog visitors and realized my blog must be in the rotation for the Next feature on the navbar.

This is a GREAT step towards eliminating splogs! I just had someone comment on a piece I wrote on my site where I referenced a few articles on the subject and thought you might be interested in it: http://www.lateshow.org/archives/2005/08/pioneers.php#comments
I think I'll go surf some Blogger sites now, just to try and do my part to flag a few splogs. Boy, that's kinda hard to say. try saying that fast three times!
I just discovered your site but I'm really enjoying it and wanted to let you know!
