To compete with the free web browser offerings of Firefox, IE and the soon to be released social browser Flock, Opera has decided to start offering all version of it's Opera browser free of charge. Previously, they offered two versions, a free version with advertisements and a pay version without ads. Now they have just one version and you can get it for free by going here.
