Exxon reported profits this year of $36.1 Billion, the highest in US history.
$36.1 BILLION!
This is difficult to fathom gas prices were skyrocketing out of control for most of 2005. Not to mention, it makes it fairly clear as to why there haven't been faster advances in alternate fuel engines and other hybrid vehicle technologies.
