Looking For Solid Tech Podcasts

Frank Gruber

Train Approaches My StopThis morning I was looking through and searching with for new technology and Web 2.0 podcasts to subscribe to f0r my 20 minute commute each day. My commute consists of climbing into an overcrowded CTA train car and standing scrunched next to total strangers while holding on to the nearest fixed object with the other hand thus I cannot hold a book or other reading material without annoying another passenger. My new boss at work just mentioned I should check out the This Week in Tech podcasts and I found it to be pretty good, however I am looking for additional podcasts to subscribe to. I subscribe to Om and Niall Podsessions and to Danny Sullivan's Daily Searchcast but I was looking for more.

Technology Evangelist Meets Somewhat FrankOver lunch today I read a post on Valleywag which recommends five tech podcasts of which I already subscribe to two out of the five. This evening I met up with some friends I met through the blogosphere from the blog Technology Evangelist as they were passing through Chicago.  It was great to finally meet Roald Mather, Ed Kohler and Benjamin Higginbotham who I felt like I already knew a lot about through my interactions with them online and following their blog. Over dinner we discussed podcasts as well as other technology items and I mentioned my surprise for the limited amount of solid technology podcasts. Thanks to Ed for sending me this post to help me out in finding additional technology podcasts. The post highlights the Valleywag post I read this afternoon but also mentions that NPR is coming out with more podcasts soon.

Check out the post on Technology Evangelist for more information on the Chicago meetup.

F.J. Gruber is looking for Tech Podcasts. Time to make a Glist. I just rattled these off, but Glists are dynamic by nature, so this is subject to change at any time. When will iTunes support Glists? Will iTunes support them? Here is the link. Proba... [Read More]

Hi Frank,
Perhaps you can try our Tech Talk podcasts from the San Francisco Chronicle. Usually once a week, although we have special podcasts as news arises. Here's a general description:
San Francisco Chronicle technology reporters and editors talk about the latest news in personal technology and digital entertainment. The podcast includes tips from Chronicle Computer Q&A columnist David Einstein and reviews from CNET.com.
Cheers,
Benny

Hey Frank, Ed just mentioned to me yesterday that he met up with you - small world. A photo with Ed is not complete without a beer. :)

Next time there's a SES or ad:tech conference in Chicago we should all hit Gene and Georgetti's or Gibson's.
