FeedBurner, the Chicago-based feed management startup that was recently acquired by Google, has decided to offer its Pro services for free. Users can now get all the Pro stats and services for free. FeedBurner's official announcement was posted earlier this morning calling itself "FreeBurner."
I assume the shift to free Pro services was made because Google doesn't really need the $5 per year that FeedBurner was charging for Pro services. In addition, Google probably is better suited to handle beefing up the servers and bandwidth if they get an influx of Pro users. Whatever the reason, thank you FeedBurner & Google - be sure to activate these new features as soon as you can to make sure you are maximizing your FeedBurner benefits.
