Kirix Strata: Web Browse Your Data

Frank Gruber

Kirix At the heart of just about every web application is a database. Getting at and manipulating that data is often done through SQL statements which involve a level of database understanding. Kirix, a Chicago-based startup, is looking to help change that by exposing your data in a Web browser experience with the launch tomorrow of Strata. Strata is a powerful set of tools that enables anyone to access, browse and manipulate data from a Web browser.

Strata
Strata gives users the ability to mix and mashup data from a number of data sources right from a browser. It also offers a number of features and tools to create reports access to all sorts of data, ability to integrate these data sets together and the ability to analyze this data and work more efficiently.

I think Stata is a great idea as working with MySQL tables via the tools in your hosting suite can sometimes be a bit problematic. Strata puts some great tools at your fingertips from the comfort of a Web browser experience. Check out the video overview of Kirix Stata. Download Kirix Strata at kirix.com/download and try the data browser out for yourself.
