I spoke yesterday as the post-lunch keynote at BlogPotomac at the State Theater in Falls Church, Virginia. It was a lot of fun and was streamed live on the Web so I actually had family members watching along in Chicago - gotta love technology.
I spoke about my social media life and how it has helped get me where I am today. I also spoke about my love for products or "bright, shiny objects" as I refer to them. I did a brain dump of all the products and services I used routinely. I listed services I use at least once a week. I like to share because sharing is caring - so I wanted to share the list of products with you (below).

Frank,
So glad you joined us at www.BlogPotomac.com. You were instrumental in helping us promote the event -- and then showing up to be one of the stars.
This list is invaluable, BTW.
Thanks hugely for sharing. :)

I randomely found out on google about this nice software you can use to get people find you and be attracted to your headlines in search engines. I think it was called glyphius...
You pretty much type a headline and it gives you a score. You keep editing it and changing few words until the score gets higher and higher and i guess next thing you know, you have a catchy headline ;) I think I'll try it to advertise my coming up business.

Here's one to add to your Search & Alerts section:
www.cellalert.net
But it's actually also an RSS-based subscription alert service; including a Twitter Tracker (www.cellalert.net/twitter), Tech Buzz (www.cellalert.net/techbuzz), Track Anything (www.cellalert.net/trackAnything), Grant Alerts (www.grantalerts.net) and Craigslist Tracking (www.cellalert.net/Craigslist).
Hope that helps somebody.

Hi Frank, thanks for the mention!
Have you found a good control/interest level over the last six months or so? (Both for monitoring your own blog and the sites you follow.)

Frank, it was great meeting you and hearing you speak. Thanks for the list... it will come in handy as we progress forward with brainstorming and such. And since you're in the Ballston area, we'll have to get together sometime soon for coffee or lunch and discuss ideas.
