Yahoo has been experimenting with a new search product called Yahoo Mindset which is currently in the Beta phase.
Yahoo Mindset allows you to sort search results for your query into commercial or non-commercial (research driven) results, based on whether you're shopping or searching for information. This is a pretty interesting concept and one that the average consumer would not even realize was a possibility prior to Yahoo granting the ability. This new search capability is an attempt to better understand what users are looking for when they search by giving the user more control of the content that is returned in the results. The acceptance and adaptation of this new technology by the average user will be fascinating to watch.
