After struggling eight months with trying to answer this difficult question, "What is HBO television programming worth to you?" I finally decided to pull the plug on both HBO and Starz from my Comcast Cable account. For a savings of $23.51 a month, I will be now getting Digital Cable with On Demand and HDTV capabilities. While I will miss my favorite program Entourage on HBO, I was finding that more often then not I missed the program anyway. My most prominent viewing consists of watching sporting events, news, and HDTV. Therefore, I will just have to get the entire Entourage 2nd season on DVD when it is released. So I guess everything has a price and to me it is obvious that HBO is not worth the nearly $300 that I would have spent in the next 12 months to watch an occasional bit of programming.
