While many of the website search engines are offering local search component it was only a matter of time till the idea spilled over to blog search engines. I recently stumbled upon Blogdigger's local blog search beta which allows you to search for other blog posts that are in specific US city or zip code. I presume the goal is to try to connect local bloggers. While I see its utility and I think that is a good idea, I personally like the fact that blogging allows you to connect with people that could be halfway across the globe.
