Google has recently enhanced the Sitemaps beta program. They now are allowing some feedback in for form of statistics in the form of reports. These stats show you if Google's crawler encounters any broken URLs or other loose ends while crawling your site. Additionally, Google is now allowing users to upload sitemaps for mobile sites by creating the Google Mobile Sitemaps program.
