FeedXS launched recently (January 18, 2006) and it offering a new spin on RSS syndication.
FeedXS.com was based on an idea generated by Jeroen Bertrams and the site was built by Trilab.com and headquartered in The Netherlands. According to the FeedXS website:
"The goal of FeedXS.com is to supply millions of people and businesses with their own feed."
How does FeedXS plan on doing this?
FeedXS is looking at RSS similar to email as a way to push out your information to anyone that wants it without the need of a published Internet source. So in essence you can have an RSS feed without a blog or website. This is an interesting concept. I could could see value as a replacement for group, newsletters and mass email. Also this solution should be attractive to people without a blog or website. I think the big obstacle now comes in explaining the concept to the non-tech savvy businesses and people that might be the most interested in it. So I am curious to see how FeedXS markets this product.
