There is speculation in the blogosphere and mainstream media that Apple could be creating an iPod Phone. The speculations appears to be rooted in the fact that Apple filed four trademark applications for the term "Mobile Me." However, analyst like Julie Ask of JupiterResearch said:
"We haven't seen anything that looks and feels like an Apple product yet."
Other analysts feel the probability of an iPod phone is low and I would have to disagree. Though Apple's core expertise is not in wireless technology they have already partnered with Motorola to develop the Rokr cellphone which plays Apple tunes. I feel like an iPod that delivers wireless music and podcasts would be in-line with Apple's strategy. Verizon's creation of "V" enabled phones like the LG VX9800 might motivate Apple to take another crack at an iPod phone.
