I cannot tell you how many times I find myself walking to or from work, in the shower, or driving in my car and I think of an very important email that I need to write as soon as I find my way in front of a computer. Most of the time, the thought eventually fades and is lost forever as I forget to actually execute on my thought. However, I just read this post on Marketplace Monitor and it introduced me to a potential solution in a company called Springdoo.
Springdoo allows to you to configure your cell phone so that you can dictate emails and send them without ever laying a finger on a conventional keyboard. This is the type of thing I have been looking for. Not only does Springdoo work with a cell phone it also allows you to author emails and video emails when using a PC and microphone to record your emails. I was curious to find out if Springdoo actually worked and I found that in sending a message to Springdoo it saved the talking message onto one of its secure servers then sends an email with a link to that audio message. So basically, you are sending voice over email messages. Not exactly what I first envisioned since it does not transcribe the voice to text but I do feel Springdoo will meet my needs of an on the go email solution.
