Google Book Sale?

Google appears to be moving into merchandising by offering authors to sell their books in an online version through Google. Details of the program can be found here. John Battelle highlights the program and welcomes Google into merchandising. It appears Google is slowly moving into e-commerce and could potentially aim to compete with Amazon.com in the space which could be intriguing to watch materialize.
