FreshBooks, the online time-tracking and invoicing service that I previously covered here has continued to roll out new features. As a FreshBooks user for both Somewhat Frank and TECH cocktail, I am pleased to see the introduction of a new option called Estimates.
Users, like myself, can now easily create professional, branded estimate proposals directly from their FreshBooks account and sent them directly to clients. Customers can then review all of the information provided in the estimate and send feedback or accept the estimate. Once the work is completed or the deal is done, a FreshBooks Estimate can easily be turned into an invoice. Estimates should help simplify the Estimate and billing process small businesses and independent professionals face in preparation to starting a new gig or assignment. FreshBooks Estimates adds an elegant way to handle proposed or upcoming client billing relations with easy. Check out the sample Estimate I just setup shown to the right (click to see a larger version).
FreshBooks also recently announced that they have surpassed 175,000 users and much of its success is due to the fact that FreshBooks reduces the need to use a combination of matrices, documents, and QuickBooks among other things.
