AniBOOM is an animation
community that partners with animators around the world to help distribute their original content. AniBoom offers an array of animation
tools for animators to create, watch and share a wide range
of animated video shorts and series. Novice animators with great ideas
can even try and turn them into reality by leveraging the community.
Whether you are an experienced or a novice animator, AniBOOM offers online animation tools, called Animachines to allow anyone to create their own content. Though AniBoom does not make me dance like an elf, it is similar to the personalized vidoes Gizmoz and Jib Jab are enabling users to create online. I found this well done video on AniBOOM (shown below) called Krapooyo by Yannick Puig.

Today, AniBOOM launched MicroSmotion which allows you to animate yourself or anything else into a video and all you need is a web cam. Unfortunately, I do not have a web cam so I could not test it out. AniBOOM also offers a ShapeShifter tool to create videos from shapes and images. The video (below) demonstrates Shapeshifter and shows several examples.

Additionally, AniBOOM leverages its network of solid animators to enable people that have great ideas for animates series, in movie form or still on paper to pitch it to the community. AniBOOM may turn your idea into a real animated movie.
Bottom-line: AniBOOM is an animation community that offers a number of useful tools for an array of animator skill levels.
