Strumming a six-string guitar can be a very relaxing exercise but it is not something you can learn to do well overnight. It takes time to practice and perfect your skills. Read/Write Web recently wrote an article listing a number of web 2.0 sites and services for musicians. I recently found one that was not mentioned but is worth mentioning called JustinGuitar.com (no this is not Justin.tv).
JustinGuitar.com is the creation of Justin Sandercoe a London-based guitarist, songwriter, performer, producer and educator. Justin leverages his site and YouTube to give FREE guitar lessons. He has over 100 free guitar lessons and more than 17K YouTube subscribers. Being an artist himself, you find some of his original tracks on his MySpace profile. Justin might want to also check out Your Truman Show because it seems like a perfect fit.
Justin recently held a video competition via YouTube to see who could show him the most innovative use of a guitar. Contestants were asked to can come up with the funniest, most original use of a guitar. The winner will be announced on September 7, 2007 but here are a couple of videos (here and here) that I liked (shown below).
