Geezeo, a
Framingham, Massachusetts based startup, offers a free online social personal finance application that makes it easy to keep track of your money from anywhere. With Geezeo you can simply aggregate all your accounts into one place and check account balances online or with your mobile phone.
Co-founded by Peter Glyman and Shawn Ward, Geezeo leverages Ruby on Rails to offer a clean and easy to use interface for managing your personal finance accounts. Geezeo currently handles bank accounts and credit card accounts, personal mortgages and auto loans - student loans and brokerage accounts coming very soon. This will allow Geezeo users to see and track finances across all
account types (checking, saving, credit, loans, investments). Also an auto-find feature makes it easy to find and connect with your financial institutions within Geezeo.
Geezeo keeps track of all your transactions and balances and offers a consolidated financial snapshot view of your balances and debt. Geezeo also enables users to configure mobile account updates which make it possible to get account balances with one simple text message.
Geezeo also offers a community aspect as users can connect with other users directly or through groups with similar financial questions and interests. With Geezeo users can turn to the community for a hand with financial planning, hints and tips.
Geezeo will be showing its stuff this week (September 6, 2007) at TECH cocktail Boston.
