TechCrunch40, the 2007 TechCrunch launching pad conference, is upon us and you can keep up with the event just updated its website at techcrunch40.com. The site offers fully-featured hub for TechCrunch40, which starts this morning and
continues through Tuesday evening. It will offer details about the 40 presenting
companies (as they launch), the 100 demo pit companies and speaker details. The site will upload video clips of
each set of presentations. The site also has Flickr photos can view photos of the conference and messages about the event via Twitter.

There are number of ways to save money on travel airfares. However, there is one that you may not be aware of. Basically, airlines have a policy of refunding ticket holders the price of the difference if a fare drops. While there are a number of Web 2.0, Ajax, personalized home page products (myAOL, yourminis, iGoogle, Netvibes, etc) that leverage syndication for content updates. I recently found three applications that seem to lean towards a more minimalist visual bookmarking startpage approach. In this article, I will take a closer look these products, so as to point out some alternative approaches to the classic personalized startpage.

Ruckus Networks, a Herndon,Virginia-based startup, has been making some noise on college campuses across the US. Ruckus is a college-only multimedia service offering free ad-supported downloads to college students. After some initial bad reviews, Ruckus seems to be making moves and gaining traction. Ruckus has over 3 million music tracks available and just recently launched a Facebook application, extensive social networking capabilities, and an improved video service just in time for the new school year.

Typepad, the popular hosted blog platform by Six Apart, has announced a new iPhone optimized interface. Typepad users can now visit http://i.typepad.com on an iPhone or the new iPod Touch in their Safari Web browser use an optimized version of Typepad. I tested it out with a brief video demo.

Reactee, a project of TextMarks, allows a user to setup a keyword to text to 41411. By simply sending a specified keyword to 41411 you will receive a response text message created by the tee shirt creator.
Reactee tee shirts designs can include custom slogans, keywords and even images. Creating interactive human billboards, Reactee creators must have a US phone number to create account. Users can update their tee shirts as well as manage the message that a tee shirt sends.
