How can you engage your client community via blogs and social media? Last Thursday, I spoke on a panel at The New New Internet Conference to discuss this very question. The panel consisted of Gary Vaynerchuk video blogger at Wine Library TV and Director of Operations at Wine Library, Geoff Livingston blogger at The BuzzBin and author of Now Is Gone
and Rohit Bhargava blogger at Influential Marketing and author Personality Not Included
and myself blogger at Somewhat Frank, co-founder of TECH cocktail a community-building event startup and product manager of myAOL. If you want to find out about social media you best watch the video and learn about blogging, engaging social media and hustle 2.0!
In pre-panel chatter Geoff posed the question,
“What’s the greatest challenge facing businesses trying to adapt to social
media?” Here are the answers. My answer had to deal with overcoming
fear, uncertainty and doubt to embrace social media, so to stick with
that trend I decided to overcome my fear of looking like a complete idiot on stage by strapping a video camera to my head to film the
entire session in a pseudo-lifestream format made popular by Justin.tv.
It was my first time ever strapping a camera to my head so please bear with me. Check out the video (below) and some photos. It was an entertaining panel discussion and thanks to Spigit you can review and comment on it for yourself! Enjoy and if haven't already, embrace social media today.
