Are you looking for a Nintendo Wii? I know some of my friends are. One of my friends is even thinking about getting in line at 5 o'clock in the morning at the Nintendo retail store in New York to try and snag one. The store only allows you to buy one Wii at a time if you are one of the lucky souls that gets one at all. However, there may be a few other options on the Web that might be less time consuming and physically challenging to get your hands on a Nintendo Wii.
The three options (below) look to help you assist you in your quest to find the elusive Nintendo Wii. Mahalo also offers a number of pages with other links to additional 'Wii finding' resources on the Web.
Leverage Twitter to find a Wii - Twitter founder Evan Williams recently pointed out the Twitter user WiiMe which tracks Amazon's Wii stock. If you simply follow WiiMe via Twitter you can get up to the second updates on the current status of Wii's in stock on Amazon.com. Similarly, it would be great if there was an AIM bot developed via AIM bots open API that could instant message you stock updates to your screenname by subscribing to the bot on an instant messenger buddy list.
Find A Wii Nearby - Leverage a mapping mashup to find a Wii Nearby. Wii.FindNearBy.net mirrors that of several Web 2.0 map mashups as it plots Wii store stock for Target, Circuit City, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon and eBay by zip code in a given radius.
Automatic Desktop Nintendo Wii Stock Updates - Hmm, this implementation should a bit odd but you can recieve desktop alerts by keeping a website opened all day. The site will refresh itself automatically every 60 seconds and when stock is found it will popup an alert message. You can configure the sources to send alerts on as well.
