I hate long meetings when I feel that something could be solved with a simpler method like AIM, email, a text message or a phone conversation. When a meeting is needed, coordinating meetings can be as time consuming as the actual meeting itself. If you have a personal assistant you probably do not have to worry about this but if you do not then you probably feel my pain. ikordo, created by UK-based Volutio, offers a product that help facilitate organizing the meeting for you by putting into an organized system that leverages various communication streams to lock down your meeting times.
The way ikordo works is by letting ikordo know a time period you are looking to schedule a meeting, enter the contacts you want to attend the meeting then ikordo does the rest by using email to negotiate a meeting time that works for everyone. Once a meeting time is setup it will notify the entire group over email and text message.
ikordo offers users an online dashboard for managing your meetings with a number of email reminder options. I got a chance to meet some of the ikordo team at DEMO and enjoyed talking with them. After giving ikordo a test drive I liked the ease of use and 'nugging' that ikordo offers to get meetings setup. One thing I would like to see added, unless I missed the feature, is the an integration with Calendar products like iCal, Google Calendar, 30 Boxes and Outlook so that my meetings could be synced with my day-to-day calendar.
